Linda Eaton Craft Awards
2016 Theme This Is My World
The Linda Eaton Craft Awards 2015
A few drinks with friends, delicious food shared with the family, fantastic live entertainment, a touch of impromptu comedy and prizes galore. What more could anyone want from a Saturday night out?
That is what everyone got at the 2015 Linda Eaton Craft Awards Ceremony which took place in the Matthews Suite at Blackpool Football Club on Saturday October 10th.
For the fourth year running the LECA Awards delivered a hugely enjoyable and entertaining evening in what has been a milestone year in the history of the competition with the event being attended by many old friends as well as a lot of new faces.
The evening started on a high with a powerful rendition of ‘Downtown’ by LECA favourite Sara Cheston, reflecting our ‘In The City, Around The Town’ theme and getting everyone in an upbeat mood for the rest of the night.
A now fully recovered Brian bounced back in style, delivering a typically riotous speech accompanied by a unique self choreographed dance routine that would have had ‘10’s’ across the board on Strictly! (Trust me – you had to be there!) before Sara Cheston, star of some of Blackpool's most prestigious entertainment venues including the famous North Pier Theatre, returned to the stage and once again had the audience singing and clapping along. An added bonus this year was provided by the many children who attended the event and danced their hearts out throughout both of Sara’s sets, entertaining everyone with their enthusiasm and high energy. They have quite rightly earned themselves the official title of The LECA Crew and we hope to see them throughout the coming years!
As the delicious buffet was announced the guests had the opportunity to view the excellent exhibition of this years entries, all of which once more hit new highs in quality, and to replenish their glasses from the bar.
A second lively set of show tunes and all time favourites from Sara Cheston once again got the room dancing before the serious business of awarding the top prizes got underway.
