About Linda

Linda Eaton was one of those people who have a wide range of skills and abilities that enable them to perform with distinction right across the many fields of Arts and Crafts. This was true in such diverse areas as sewing, knitting, needlecraft, embroidery, watercolours, tapestry, greetings cards, pressed-flowers, and many others. Linda was not the sort of person to push herself forward but when she did enter competitions she was a natural winner. On at least one occasion she secured not one but several awards at the same event.

Linda sadly died in 2011 and this arts awards competition was set up by her husband Brian at the end of 2011 as a way of honouring her memory and keeping the things she loved most alive.

The Linda Eaton Craft Awards (LECA) hope to encourage as many people as possible to get involved in crafting and the creative arts. The awards are aimed at absloutely everyone, even if you have never been involved in any type of craft work before. They are an opportunity to explore new hobbies and pastimes, to release your inner creativity and to open up a whole new world of fun and enjoyment.
